Photo Narrative
These images were taken to narrate a story. The story, based on my own experience, depicts someone who is feeling depressed, but then once they discover photography, their world begins to brighten.
These images narrate thoughts and feelings of my father. I asked him to write down thoughts that occupy his mind and turned them into a short story.
One time…the pain of your pain broke me.
Most times…the life of your life explans me.
Sometimes…the joy of your joy raises me.
All times…the love in my heart for you saves me.
But usually…it’s just doughnuts.
This set of images tells the story of a young person being unsure of who they are. The mirror acts as a symbol of this person reflecting on who they are.
